Today I said morning prayer and read Psalm 87 and Isaiah 2.

I have been thinking quite a bit about how important this disciplines is for me. For me, the simple act of checking in on a daily basis and giving an account of actually spending time with God in prayer and reading Scripture is a very important check for my actually doing those things that I know are so important for my life.

Kevin - thanks for the post.

    Today I read from Mark.
I have been thinking about farmers. They prepare the soil, plant the seed, and then trust God until the harvest. I need to be more like a farmer. I need to prepare more soil, plant more seeds and relax in faith as God prepares the harvest.

Lord thank you for speaking through the example of Kevin’s actions. Please make me more like a farmer.
